Prevention and Outreach to Youth at Risk
The youth at risk programme focuses strongly on reducing the risk factors that increase the vulnerability of the youth to a life of a crime as well as to HIV/AIDS. The program thus focuses on life skills for crime prevention as well as HIV/AIDS Edutainment.
The primary target group is young people in schools, but it also accommodates those out of school, in secure care centres and those in prisons.
This programme targets all the communities NYDO is servicing including Eersterust, Refilwe, Rethabiseng, Zithobeni, Onverwacht and Mamelodi.
